Nicola is a highly qualified singing coach and vocal technique educator with specialisms in language, song, text interpretation and performance. As well as a vocalist and author, she has a medical background & training in anatomy with additional experience working in Voice Clinic and ENT. She has authored four books about song interpretation and vocal anatomy.
Along with her studio and university teaching, she has a particular interest in teaching anatomy to singers and teachers and has created cutting-edge motor training tools and protocols for the technical training of singers.
As well as a busy private studio, she is currently a Lecturer in Singing and Song Interpretation at Pembroke College, Oxford and teaches in Oxford and London. She has an exciting and varied cohort of students, teachers, theatre singers and industry professionals and as a highly specialised coach, she works with each individual to reveal a unique, authentic and embodied singing voice. Nicola also offers vocal rehabilitation for struggling or damaged voices.
